On November 2, 2023, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) unveiled its 2024 Physician Fee Schedule final rule — which includes welcome changes to greatly increase access to behavioral healthcare services for Medicare beneficiaries. Because many compliance rules in behavioral health will be changing in 2024, and simultaneously, a new set of behavioral health professionals will be entering the Medicare program for the first time, there's never been a better time for a compliance review.
In December, behavioral health industry expert Adam Middleton, CHBC, Managing Partner at Healthcare Advisory Network, LLC, presented a webinar on recently published and proposed rules that will have an impact on behavioral health providers in 2024.
