About the speaker

Jeffrey Echternach, MBA, AAS, NRP

Technology Officer at The Center for Case Management

Jeff Echternach is a technology officer with The Center for Case Management and is the founding creator for the organization’s Dashboard and Data solutions, “CARTBoard^TM”. Additionally, Echternach is a practicing paramedic, firefighter, and paramedic educator. He also supports his local fire/EMS department as an IT expert. He holds several certifications, including EPIC’s Clarity, Caboodle, and Cogito .

Echternach has worked in healthcare in a variety of capacities since 2005, including Business Development, Regional Hospital Emergency Management, EPIC Developer, Senior BI Developer, and Solutions Architect. He led the creation and analytics development for an enterprise-wide transfer center and has had his work published on the creation of outcome-focused patient flow data. Additionally, he has developed and deployed comprehensive dashboard tools at several hospital systems. Echternach specializes in understanding how clinical staff interface with technology and designing optimal workflows to maximize staff efficiency while improving the capture of quantitative data. He completed his MBA at Averett University in Danville, Virginia, and also holds an associate’s degree from Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Virginia.
