Vaccine hesitancy among healthcare personnel and residents of long-term care facilities is not new. In fact, data from the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) shows that the national average for COVID-19 vaccination in nursing homes is 41.7% for residents and 12.2% for staff as of 2024.
