Aaron Winkelmann

Vice President and General Manager, WellSky Blood and Biotherapies

Aaron Winkelmann serves as the Vice President and General Manager of the blood and biotherapies organization and is responsible for business strategy, solution development, sales, and overall client relationships in the independent and hospital-based donor programs, hospital blood banks, independent immunohematology reference labs, and the emerging space of BMT and cell therapies. Since 2007, Winkelmann has been honored to serve WellSky clients in a variety of roles, including sales operations, account management, sales, and sales leadership. Prior to his time at WellSky, Winkelmann got his start in healthcare with the National Research Corporation where he supported hospitals’ efforts to improve the patient experience.

Nathan Wright

Vice President of Solution Management for WellSky Blood and Biotherapies

Nathan Wright is a seasoned healthcare technology leader with over 18 years of experience at WellSky, where he currently serves as Vice President of Solutions Management for Blood & Biotherapies. Based in the Nashville Metropolitan Area, Wright oversees strategy and execution for the solutions from WellSky that support blood banks, donor testing, hematopoietic cell transplants, and cell therapy manufacturing. His career spans roles in account management, client services, and project leadership and includes the successful implementation of over 40 hospital systems and the launch of the first commercial-grade biologics management software at a leading orthopedic hospital. Wright's work has consistently driven improvements in client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes.

Prior to WellSky, he managed disaster recovery and forensic projects for Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies at ESS Data Recovery. He holds an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a BA in History from Southern Illinois University. Wright is passionate about advancing healthcare through innovation and collaboration, and he continues to lead transformative initiatives that shape the future of blood and biotherapies.

Applications Director at  Carter BloodCare

Jeff Centilli is applications director for Carter BloodCare — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Bedford, Texas. Centilli’s role is to lead various aspects of blood management, ensuring that the organization maintains the highest standards of safety and efficiency. His commitment to excellence is evident in the numerous initiatives he has spearheaded over the last two decades, which have resulted in improved patient care and operational effectiveness. His achievements include the successful integration of advanced blood transfusion software and systems, which have significantly reduced waste and improved inventory management. His efforts have not only benefited Carter BloodCare but have also set a benchmark across the industry.

B.J. Smith

Chief Operating Officer at Carter BloodCare

B.J. Smith's spirit of serving others compelled him to launch a successful career in the blood banking industry. Since 1993, he has held various management-level positions with well-respected nonprofits, focused on contributing to the health and wellbeing of the community. A proud veteran of the U.S. military, with a BBA and MBA, Smith currently serves as Carter BloodCare's Chief Operating Officer, where he leads operations and multiple services for one of the largest nonprofit community blood centers in the state. He also continues to give back to the community through leadership roles on many industry boards. Smith excels in his position, holding great appreciation for the team members who deliver on Carter BloodCare's mission every day. Smith has been a champion of whole blood automation and has been instrumental in the successful implementation of Reveos at Carter, which was the first U.S. blood center to adopt Reveos.
