Integrating cell and gene therapies: Challenges and opportunities
This session brings together experts from across the healthcare industry to discuss the integration of advanced therapies into current medical practices. Moderated by Linda Barnes, former VP of Biotherapies at AABB, expert panelists offer unique perspectives on the logistical, manufacturing, and clinical challenges associated with cell and gene therapies.

The discussion unfolds in three segments:

  • Innovations and existing hurdles in therapy application and development — emphasizing supply chain logistics, manufacturing scalability, and clinical integration
  • Necessary healthcare system adaptations, including technology and workforce training, to support applicable cell and gene therapies
  • Strategies for therapy adoption, touching on access, reimbursement, and ethical considerations
This interactive panel aims to foster better understanding and inspire support of the successful integration of transformative cell and gene therapies into healthcare.

Panel participants include Aaron Posey, MBA, Executive Vice President, Bloodworks Northwest; Raymond Goodrich, PhD, Professor, Department of Microbiology, Immunology, Pathology, Colorado State University, Research Innovation Center; and Rob Tressler, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer, Excellos.
