Webinar Caring Smarter

People who choose a life of caring — and the organizations and communities they serve — deserve a special kind of support.

Countdown to HOPE webinar series
Visit types & symptom impact documentation

Presented by Katherine Morrison, RN, MSN, CHPN, Director of Advisory Services, and Kelly Phillips, Director of Solutions Management

With the implementation of the Hospice Outcomes and Patient Evaluation (HOPE) assessment on October 1, 2025, hospice providers must prepare for and understand new visit documentation and scheduling requirements. Understanding how to schedule, track, and document HOPE visit types—including HUVs (HOPE Update Visits) and SFVs (Symptom Follow-Up Visits)—is critical for compliance and high-quality patient care.

Join WellSky hospice experts Katherine Morrison, RN, MSN, CHPN, Director of Advisory Services, and Kelly Phillips, Director of Solutions Management, for the second webinar in our Countdown to HOPE series. This webinar will provide a deep dive into HOPE visit types, strategies for seamless implementation, and the tools available to support your team.

This webinar will cover:

  • An overview of the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP)
  • A comprehensive overview of HOPE visit types, including HUVs, SVFs, and how to schedule them effectively
  • The role of symptom impact in HOPE assessments and how to train staff for accurate documentation
  • How the WellSky Hospice & Palliative solution will support visit prompting, symptom impact tracking, and quality assurance through the new HOPE Operational Dashboard
