Webinar Caring Smarter

People who choose a life of caring — and the organizations and communities they serve — deserve a special kind of support.

The FY26 hospice proposed rule: Preparing your agency for what’s next

Presented by Katherine Morrison, RN, MSN, CHPN, Director, Advisory Services, WellSky

On April 11, 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the proposed hospice payment rule for fiscal year (FY) 2026. CMS has proposed a 2.4% increase in hospice payments, raising the aggregate cap to $35,292.51. Additionally, the rule outlines significant policy changes that could dramatically impact hospice operations, quality reporting, and compliance expectations in the years ahead.

Join hospice regulatory expert, Katherine Morrison, RN, MSN, CHPN, for a timely webinar covering the most critical components of the FY 2026 proposed rule—and what your organization needs to know to stay ahead of regulatory shifts and evolving CMS priorities.

Attend this webinar to learn more about:

  • The nationwide implementation of the Hospice Outcomes & Patient Evaluation (HOPE) tool
  • Documentation and compliance updates related to hospice eligibility and face-to-face encounters
  • Revisions to the hospice wage index that will affect future payment rates
  • And more!
Don't forget! Now is the perfect time for hospice providers to assess the implications of these proposed changes and prepare thoughtful, data-informed comments. Feedback must be submitted to CMS by May 28, 2025, to be considered for the final rule.
