Steve Ward is the VP and General Manager for the Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy and DME business units at WellSky. With over 19 years of experience in healthcare IT, Steve has held roles in EMR solution implementation to software development strategy and design of inpatient and retail pharmacy, including smart IV pump integration. He has led strategic direction and solutions teams, establishing legacy WellSky software roadmaps and solution requirements for the CPR+ and CareTend solutions. Steve received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University and completed a pharmacy practice residency before working as a staff pharmacist at an academic medical center in Eastern North Carolina. He is passionate about healthcare technology driving innovative solutions for the home infusion, specialty pharmacy and DME categories.
Gibran Ameer is the Chief Executive Officer, Board Member, and founding partner of Virtue Technologies. He has served the home healthcare market for over 20 years as a provider of care and health tech entrepreneur. His team has developed web-based, mobile-friendly logistics solutions that serve to lower costs and improve revenue cycles for pharmacies by streamlining manual processes, improving patient satisfaction and reducing operational risk through interoperable tools. Gibran is a graduate of the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy and maintains his pharmacy licenses in South Carolina and Kentucky.
Erica Beacom is an Associate with Polsinelli in Washington, D.C. Her practice bridges healthcare, data privacy and security, and FDA law, with a special interest in HIPAA/health information privacy and security, healthcare compliance, pharmacy, and food, drug and device regulation. She believes in a multifaceted approach to legal issues that considers both regulatory and public policy angles. Beacom holds a Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and history from St. Cloud State University. She is admitted to the Texas Bar and is a member of the American Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, and American Health Law Association.
