The Review Choice Demonstration (RCD) process is set to begin this fiscal year, and IRFs now have two choices when submitting claims for review: a pre-claim review or a post-payment review. CMS intends for this program to reduce the number of Medicare appeals as well as improve provider compliance with Medicare program rules.
