Her agency was named one of the top 100 by HCP for seven years in a row. After selling her agency to private equity in 2023, she now helps home care agency owners and operators employ the same tactics to grow their businesses while improving their work-life balance.

Since 1992, Bruce has been a part of dozens of mergers and acquisitions transactions as an attorney representing one of the parties, a closing agent getting the deal done, or as an investment banker guiding a client through the process. He has advised many owners in the U.S. and Canada on the key performance indicators in home-based care and how they influence value, using them to increase profits day to day as well as in a transaction, and using data to improve their agencies. Vanderlaan has been a speaker at several national conferences, including the Home Health Care News Capital + Strategy conference, HHCN Home Care Conference, CareForum, TCIV, Home Care Association of Florida, and the Health Management Association. He has conducted numerous webinars and seminars and has published several articles on building value for agency owners.
