Dana & Andrew Stone Professor of Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania
Dennis is a nationally recognized social science researcher with primary expertise in the field of homelessness. His work has established data for research and policy analysis, particularly for populations which are difficult to assess and track. Dennis’ work has resulted in federal legislation requiring all cities and states to develop administrative data systems for tracking homeless services in order to receive HUD funding.
Executive Director, Schoolhouse Connection
For more than 20 years, Ms. Duffield has bridged policy and practice in early care, education, housing, and homelessness. She served as the Director of Policy and Programs at the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth in Washington D.C from 2003-2016, leading national efforts to strengthen federal protections and services for children and youth experiencing homelessness. Barbara was also the Director of Education for the National Coalition for the Homeless from 1994-2003.
Senior Research Associate, Poverty Solutions
Ms. Erb-Downward develops new projects and proposals related to family homelessness. She joined Poverty Solutions from the Institute for Children, Poverty and Homelessness in New York. There she was the principal policy analyst for initiatives aimed at bringing awareness to family homelessness and for framing the agency's New York City policy agenda. Jennifer holds a master’s degree in public health from New York University.
