What home-based care providers need to know about the new OSHA COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard
On Thursday, June 17, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) issued a new Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) with precautions and employer obligations that affect everyone who provides healthcare services. Agencies providing healthcare services in a patient’s home must be in compliance with the majority of these new rules beginning on July 5, 2021, though agencies will have until July 21, 2021 to implement some of the more complex requirements imposed by the ETS.
