The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is partnering with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to make data from the HUD-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) project available to include in local Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS). This data can help your Continuum of Care (CoC) better understand how the homeless response system is working and where strategic changes should be made to better serve Veterans experiencing homelessness.
WellSky now offers a service to import raw HUD-VASH data to your instance of WellSky Community Services (ServicePoint)
With WellSky’s import automation service, you won’t need to use HUD’s conversion tool and can simply upload the files you receive. WellSky can also reassign the data (which is generated by VA Catchment Areas) to match your CoC’s boundaries. WellSky can schedule your imports quarterly, monthly, weekly, or even daily.
Including VASH beds in your HUD reporting can increase your HMIS participation rates. To find out more about WellSky’s import automation service for HUD-VASH data, create a case in the Community Services portal or fill out the form at right.
