Webinar Caring Smarter

People who choose a life of caring — and the organizations and communities they serve — deserve a special kind of support.

The Great Resignation continues to hinder human services in many states. This panel of federal and state leaders recently shared a vision for workforce management that can take us into the next era of person-centered care:

  • Teja Stokes, Deputy Executive Director at NASDDDS (National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services) — examined the primary workforce challenges across the country, and some of the creative solutions she is seeing in service delivery.

  • Abby Cox, former Assistant Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services — explained the potential of new technologies and changes to organizational thinking that can address recruitment and retention challenges.

  • Jayson Wright, Senior Consultant at Guidehouse — presented an insightful overview of the state proposals received by CMS to address workforce development.

  • Lance Robertson, former U.S. Assistant Secretary for Aging and a Director at Guidehouse — shared his vision for a pathway to workforce management that better addresses the needs of our country.
The panel also answered many questions around Section 9817 funding toward long-term workforce development, and engaged in lively discussion about the latest developments in Washington. Fill out the form now to watch this insightful event and download the slides!
