The 2022 hospice proposed rule: Preparing for regulatory & quality reporting changes

Presented by Sharon Harder and Jill Dyer, BSN, RN, HCS-D, HCS-O

Even as the COVID-19 public health emergency continues, hospice regulatory changes move forward. On April 8, CMS released its 2022 hospice proposed rule, highlighting its focus on utilization of services, live discharges, and spending outside of hospice elections. From payment rate changes (an increase!) and the effect of new labor standardization factors to new quality reporting program changes and survey requirements, the proposed rule is full of updates that hospices need to know now.

Join renowned consultant Sharon Harder and clinical expert Jill Dyer, BSN, RN, HCS-D, HCS-O for a timely, free webinar that will unpack the key elements of the proposed rule and explore the changes your team needs to understand as you prepare for the 2022 fiscal year.

Watch this webinar to learn about:

  • Proposed updates to the wage index and payment rates for 2022
  • New requirements and clarifications concerning election statement addendums
  • The quality reporting program changes and claims-based measures that Medicare will use to compare providers
  • New survey requirements addressed in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021
