Alternative Donor Stem Cell Transplantation

Allogeneic stem cell transplantation is a curative procedure for many patients with blood cancers, bone marrow failure syndromes, and genetic disorders. In this presentation, Dr. Karen Ballen, Professor of Medicine and Section Chief of Hematology, Hematologic Malignancy, and Stem Cell Transplant at the University of Virginia, will discuss the challenges and opportunities alternative donor stem cell transplantation provides.
