This case study details how YWCA Quincy (Quincy, IL) provides supportive services to improve housing outcomes in its community. YWCA Quincy serves as the lead agency in the regional Continuum of Care (CoC) serving 11 counties across West Central Illinois.
Research shows that providing housing alone does not always solve homelessness; some families will not remain permanently housed without supportive services to overcome the obstacles that rendered them homeless in the first place — particularly, lack of affordable housing, poverty, and domestic violence.
