Jack is responsible for the association’s policy work, including analysis of legislation and regulations impacting the Medicaid program, convening Medicaid Directors and their staffs to identify and build consensus around policy objectives, and articulating members’ consensus positions via comment letters and other communications to federal policymakers and Medicaid stakeholders.
Melissa oversees services and supports for beneficiaries with developmental disabilities and delays. Programs include day treatment programs for children and adults, community-based programs, applied behavior analysis for children with Autism, 24-hour care in Intermediate Care Facilities, a program for children with chronic health care needs, as well as occupational, speech, and physical therapy.
While at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Mr. Robertson served as the nation’s gerontologist and lead for aging and disability issues. He spearheaded initiatives linking health with human services and social determinants; launched the agency-wide Disability Collaborative, the National Center for Person-Centered Thinking, Planning, and Practice, and the Multi-Agency Task Force on Increasing Disability Employment; and led significant work with the White House Domestic Policy Council.
Jay previously served at the Georgia Division of Aging Services and the Georgia Department of Community Health. He works to develop innovative solutions to the key problems facing our seniors, including affordable housing and health care. He has thoroughy researched the current ARPA 9817 landscape and is uniquely equipped to answer your questions.
