Webinar Caring Smarter

People who choose a life of caring — and the organizations and communities they serve — deserve a special kind of support.

Understand the impact of student homelessness on society

Public schools reported a record 1.5 million homeless children and youth in the 2017-2018 school year,1 with an additional 1.4 million children under age six experiencing homelessness.2 As disturbing as these numbers are, they are very likely underestimates.

This devastating experience impacts a student’s long-term health, education, and career opportunities, all of which affect the stability of your community and the cost of human services for decades.

The current COVID-19 pandemic creates even deeper ramifications for this vulnerable population. Join us for an overview of the extent of homelessness among children and youth in the United States and how our communities can respond, including:

  • Leveraging existing rights and resources for children and youth facing homelessness
  • Identifying and meet the needs of homeless youth created by the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Adopting best practices nationally to end youth homelessness

This webinar will help you address both the broader problem of youth homelessness and the specific issues created by COVID-19 that undermine the well-being of your community. Reserve your seat now.
