The National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS) recently surveyed directors and staff at state developmental disabilities programs across the country to capture their views on "The Ensuring Access to Medicaid Services" final rule from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
The rule aims to improve access to home- and community-based services (HCBS) for Medicaid beneficiaries. Aging Services Manager for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Aging and Disability Services
James oversees Older American Act funded services across Maine and serves as a subject matter expert in a variety of topics, including assistive technology and LGBT cultural humility. His previous role was with the Georgia Department of Human Services Division of Aging Services as an Aging Services Coordinator where he managed OAA funded In-Home Services in Georgia and served as a system administrator for non-Medicaid HCBS services in the WellSky Framework environment. James received his M.A. in Gerontology and B.A. in Sociology from Georgia State University. His is married and has recently moved to Augusta, Maine.
Alicia has worked in the field of homelessness since 2011, with the Los Angeles County Probation Agency, The Salvation Army, and now as the Program Coordinator for the Homeless Management Information System - Coordinated Entry System in Ventura County. Alicia works collaboratively with partners in the community to help end homelessness.
Chris is currently providing oversight & management of the County of Ventura’s Homeless Services Program. He has 30 years of government experience and has been with the Homeless Services Program for 22 years. He began his tenure with Homeless Services in 1997 as a Social Worker, and has since held supervisory and management roles within the program.
Jennifer has worked for the County of Ventura for 12 years, as a Program Analyst for the Human Services Agency, and Program Administrator for the County Executive Office. Now serving the Ventura County Continuum of Care, she manages Emergency Solutions Grant funding, and leads CoC Subcommittees on ending homelessness among Veterans and Youth.
