Nancy B. Swigert, M.A., CCC, BCS-S, speech-language pathologist, is the former director of Speech-Language Pathology and Respiratory Care at Baptist Health Lexington, an acute care facility in Lexington, KY. As president of Swigert & Assoc., Inc., her consulting company, she continues to teach and write in the areas of dysphagia, voice and motor speech disorders, coding and reimbursement and documentation. She has authored six clinical reference books and recently completed Documentation and Reimbursement for SLPs. She received her master’s degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She is a former President of the Kentucky Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Council of State Association Presidents, and was President of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 1998. She received the Honors of ASHA in 2015. She was a member of the Health Care Economics Committee for nine years and chair for six years. Responsibilities included representing ASHA at AMA CPT and RUC meetings. She serves on the Medical Advisory Board for the Foundation on Swallowing Disorders.
Julie is Director of Operations at Progressive Rehabilitation Associates, with over 10 years of hospital-based leadership experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute therapies, outpatient neuro, and orthopedics. She serves on the BIAA Professional Council College, is a founding board member of the non-profit foundation, “Getting Back & Giving Back” and a Medical Rehabilitation CARF surveyor.
Tammy is Director of Outpatient Services at On With Life at Ankeny. Now in her 21st year in rehabilitation , has worked in brain injury and neurological disease, geriatrics, pediatrics, home health, post-acute, long term care, outpatient, and mental health. For the past 15 years she has served at On With Life in Ankeny focusing on Brain Injury and Neurological Rehabilitation.
Shawn has 20 years of healthcare experience, allowing him to use his clinical background as an Occupational Therapist combined with his Product Management expertise, to understand how to solve challenges in the rehabilitation industry. His experience includes analysis of process and workflow to determine the best integration of care delivery for products in Post-Acute Rehab markets.
