Home infusion proposed rule
CMS released a home infusion proposed rule in July that is causing concerns in the home infusion community for its potential impact on reimbursement and the inconsistencies with defined industry standards. This rule involves several different aspects of home health in addition to the creation of the home infusion therapy benefit category. CMS has been working on this new category as mandated by 21st Century Cures Act that was signed into law in December of 2016.
