Webinar Caring Smarter

People who choose a life of caring — and the organizations and communities they serve — deserve a special kind of support.

At WellSky, our approach to AI puts people first.
More intelligent, less artificial.

SkySense AI-powered tools and capabilities are designed to optimize every aspect of a provider’s operations—including patient intake, care planning and decision-making, and billing and coding—eliminating inefficiencies, reducing documentation burdens, and providing real-time clinical insights that improve care delivery.

SkySense AI solutions help providers to:

  • Improve medication reconciliation: WellSky Extract reduces the time it takes clinicians to document a patient’s medications by 60 to 80% by extracting key information from patient-related documents and pictures of drug labels and populating data into the EHR.
  • Respond to referrals faster: WellSky is embedding AI-powered extraction into WellSky Enterprise Referral Manager to automate extraction and population of key patient and referral data from documents received via eFAX and direct secure messages into WellSky EHRs. This automation significantly reduces the review and manual entry of data and shortens response time to referral sources.
  • Save significant documentation time: WellSky uses ambient listening and transcription technology to identify and extract key information from audible patient assessments and populate forms and fields within WellSky EHRs. Clinicians will be able to review the auto-populated assessment data, confirm it, and submit it into the record within minutes, saving valuable time.
  • Generate clinical summaries: AI is used within WellSky CarePort Referral Intake to summarize key elements of referral packets to allow providers to quickly assess patient needs and respond to referrals faster and more accurately.
  • Aid clinicians in making informed symptom impact decisions: Starting October 1, 2025, hospice agencies will be required to use the new Hospice Outcomes and Patient Evaluation (HOPE) assessment to better understand a patient’s care needs and contribute to that patient’s plan of care. WellSky Hospice & Palliative will leverage AI to evaluate clinical information and then return suggested symptom impact rankings and appropriate reasoning.
  • Expedite chart reviews: WellSky is developing AI-assisted coding capabilities to augment medical coding and documentation-review tasks, driving new efficiencies and higher coding accuracy that will lead to optimal reimbursement and faster payment.
  • Automate tasks to increase productivity: AI agents conduct the routine yet necessary tasks that keep healthcare organizations running. WellSky is developing agents that are purpose-built for performing specific tasks—like scheduling and patient engagement—in a highly coordinated and dependable fashion.
