External audits by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) are ramping back up for post-acute providers. Outpatient rehabilitation organizations may be the target of these audits more than any other setting of care since the Office of inspector General (OIG) found that 61% of 2018 claims did not comply with Medicare medical necessity, coding or documentation.

He has experience representing hospitals, health systems, pharmacies, and physician practices in regulatory matters, transactions, professional agreements, and other matters concerning healthcare entities.
