Steve Ward
VP of Solutions, WellSky
Steve Ward is the VP of Solutions of Home Care Solutions at WellSky, responsible for the strategic direction and solution roadmap for the home infusion, specialty pharmacy, and home medical equipment solutions. Steve received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University. He completed a pharmacy practice residency before working as a staff pharmacist at an academic medical center in Eastern North Carolina. While working as a pharmacist, Steve became involved with healthcare technology, leading the hospitals' implementation of the pharmacy EMR across the health system. Through that experience, he witnessed the unrealized potential technology has in improving healthcare and in 2001 shifted his career to focus on healthcare IT. Steve has over 20 years of experience in healthcare IT in roles ranging from EMR solutions implementations, responsibility for the software development strategy and design of inpatient and retail pharmacy, CPOE, nursing medication administration, and post-acute pharmacy solutions. Additionally, Steve has led several device-related medication process solutions, including automated dispensing and partnerships with several smart IV pumps and pharmacy automation suppliers.
Brian Laskaris
Director of Solutions Management— Interoperability, WellSky
Brian Laskaris is the Director of Solutions Management for Interoperability at WellSky. He has spent over 20 years in the financial services and healthcare technology industries, ensuring a positive customer experience through sound strategy, user-friendly product design, and successful operational delivery. He has been improving interoperability in the acute and post-acute markets for the last decade and is currently focused on providing greater access to patient records and connectivity across the care continuum to improve care coordination.
Jeffrey S. Baird, JD, is Chairman of the Health Care Group at Brown & Fortunato, PC, a law firm based in Amarillo, Texas. He represents pharmacies, infusion companies, HME companies, and other health care providers throughout the United States. Teresa Remy, DSC, MHA, LNHA, BSN, RN, RACT-CT, CDP, QCP, IPCO has nearly 37 years of experience working in healthcare. Teresa has a proven record of achieving consecutive 5-Star Ratings, National Quality Awards, U.S. News and World Report Best Nursing Home Awards, perfect surveys, as well as working with multi-facility chains in achieving exceptional results. At LeaderStat, Teresa provides both onsite and offsite support and training in key quality system audits, survey preparation, assistance with the development of processes that work in the real world, and assistance with targeting areas that help prevent costly deficiencies.
