Cathy Dwyer has been a member of the IT team at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital for almost 20 years and has served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the last nine. She has worked in several capacities from interface programmer, report writer, system integrator, clinical liaison, business partner and analyst, up to her current management role, while still keeping an eye on the day-to-day operations of her team. She oversees the use of all information systems within the hospital and makes sure the hospital keeps pace with advancements in technology. Prior to joining Burke, Cathy held IT positions with Reader’s Digest Association and IBM Corporation. She is a member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Cathy has achieved the distinction of being a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO), and she holds a MBA from Manhattan College.
