Demonstrating value: Managing and budgeting your outpatient rehabilitation team for success in 2022

Over the last two years, COVID-19 has caused hospital leaders to reevaluate how they allocate resources. Inconsistent patient volumes, staffing shortages, and other operational challenges have forced leaders into making hard decisions on budgets, staffing, and space.

As a leader, you must demonstrate the value of your department. To make a successful business case, you must leverage financial benchmarks, apply the principles of change management, appeal to the C-Suite perspective, and communicate persuasively to secure your seat at the negotiation table.

During this session, experienced outpatient rehabilitation consultants John Britt and David Bowling discuss how you can demonstrate the value of your outpatient rehabilitation department. During this session our experts:

  • Review the common challenges plaguing outpatient rehabilitation departments today
  • Examine relevant benchmarks and financial indicators that demonstrate outpatient success
  • Demonstrate how to communicate your needs successfully and effectively to key decision makers in your hospital or health system
  • Explain how outpatient rehabilitation leaders can apply the core principles of change management
