Webinar Caring Smarter

People who choose a life of caring — and the organizations and communities they serve — deserve a special kind of support.

Learn how healthcare providers, government agencies, and non-profits can work together to help end the opioid crisis

The impact of the opioid crisis on individuals, families, and society is profound. The economic cost alone is more than half a trillion dollars. Incarceration, poor health outcomes, and lost employment affect people of every race and income class. Overdose deaths have doubled in the past ten years.

Fortunately, there is hope. During this session, our respected panel of experts from across the care continuum will highlight opportunities for expanded care and greater collaboration.

Beating an addiction requires consistent care for extended periods of time. This means behavioral health specialists need to break down silos of care and communicate as patients progress from inpatient, to outpatient, and community care.

Watch to learn:

  • Why community agencies, government agencies, and health providers must come together to combat the opioid epidemic
  • How to ensure effective care coordination and follow-up throughout the patient’s journey of care
  • What community strategies lead to the best outcomes for those experiencing opioid addiction
  • Why advocates of effective care are working to align the sharing of patient data more closely with HIPAA
  • How your organization can change the perception of opioid addiction treatment
