In early December 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the fiscal year 2021 Physician Fee Schedule and Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) final rules. Less than a month after publication, additional addendums were released, giving outpatient providers little time to prepare for the rules’ January 1, 2021 implementation. These updates demonstrate just how fast the outpatient rehabilitation space is changing.
