Prior to joining AAFP, she was Director of Performance Improvement and Innovation for the Washington Health Alliance and Vice President of Healthcare Insights & Partnerships for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City. Dr. Johnson has been instrumental in implementing new primary care payment models, including the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus model (CPC+) through the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (the CMS Innovation Center).
